$SHARD (Ancient Shard)

Golem Overlord's secondary currency, mostly used for guilds, NFT'S and more?

$SHARD is the token used to generate NFTs and is used in guilds for various things. (to be implemented) (Might not be needed for ALL NFTs)

The issuance of $SHARD is determined by the $SHARD drop chance.

  • Pre-minted / founder's share: None!

  • Supply / faucets: The supply of $SHARD tokens in Golem Overlord is inflationary. $SHARD is printed every day as players make Claims. The circulating supply is influenced by the balance of game faucets, sinks, and staking. The total supply of $SHARD is "infinite" in principle. Technically, it is just over 9 quadrillion, which should serve the game's purposes for... pretty much ever.

    • $SHARD issuance should be much lower than $PART, in theory (see Distribution below)

  • Burn / sinks: TBD (Guilds and NFTs are likely use cases)

  • Distribution: The distribution of $SHARD tokens only comes from rolling on $SHARD chance upon Claiming. Every 100% built up = 1 $SHARD, and partial percentages are a chance for 1 $SHARD. E.g. A player who Claims at 450% will receive at minimum 4 $SHARD, with a 50% chance to get a 5th.

  • Demand: The demand for $SHARD is driven by its utility (tbd) within the game. The size and engagement of the game's user base deeply influences demand.
